FILLING WITH TRANSMISSION FLUID
IMPORTANT: Use only ATF (Automatic Transmis-
sion Fluid), such as Dexron II or Dexron III.
1.
Fill transmission to proper level, through fluid fil-
ter cavity. (Refer to “Capacity.”)
2.
Install filter as follows:
a. Bring flat spot on filter into agreement with flat
surface inside of housing.
b. Tighten filter by pushing down and turning
clockwise at the same time.

Check fluid level. Fluid should be between min.
and max. marks on dipstick.
