Apply Loctite 271 to threads of bottom drive shaft
shield retaining screws and install bottom shields
on engine and transom end as shown. Torque
screws to 30 lb. ft. (41 N·m). Then install both top
shields as shown. Torque screws and nuts to 30
lb. ft. (41 N·m).
Engine Connections
IMPORTANT: When routing all wire harnesses
and hoses, be sure they are routed and secured
to avoid coming in contact with hot spots on en-
gine and avoid contact with moving parts.

Connect seawater inlet hose to seawater pump
as shown. Tighten hose clamp securely.
