Be careful when working on fuel system compo-
nents. Gasoline is extremely flammable under
certain conditions. Be sure ignition key is OFF.
Do not smoke or allow spark or open flame in
area when working on fuel system components.
Wipe up any spilled fuel immediately.

Connect fuel lines to fuel pump and tighten se-
curely.

4. Install drive belt. Adjust belt tension using the ad-
justing bolt and locknut. When adjustment is cor-
rect, torque locknut to 30 lb. ft. (41 N·m). Tension
ischeckedbypushingonbeltinareaoppositethe
idler pulley. Belt should depress approximately
1/4
in. (6 mm).

Break loose circulating pump pulley attaching
bolts. Do not remove bolts at this time.
