Disconnect regulator leads from terminals on
rear end frame. Remove four regulator attaching
screws, then pull regulator away from rear end
frame and disconnect field lead.
6. Scribe a mark on rear end frame, stator and front
end frame to ensure proper reassembly later.

Remove the four screws which secure end
frames and stator together.

CAUTION

Do not insert screwdriver blades deeper than
1/16 in. (1.58 mm) to avoid damaging stator wind-

ings.
8.
Using a suitable holding fixture, separate front
end frame and stator assembly from rear end
frame using two thin blade screwdrivers (posi-
tioned 180 degrees apart from each other) at the
locations shown.

press to remove rotor from front end frame.
