Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor
CLEANING AND INSPECTION

Clean the surfaces of the IAT with a dry cloth.
Inspect the IAT for signs of wear or damage.
NOTICE
Refer to “Service Precautions,” in “Repair
Procedures,” BEFORE proceeding.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install IAT in plenum. Tighten 2-1/2 turns maxi-
mum.
REMOVAL
1.
Remove flame arrestor, throttle linkage, throttle
body and plenum as outlined in “Plenum.”
2.
Remove IAT from plenum.

Install plenum, throttle body, throttle cable and
flame arrestor as outlined in “Plenum.”

Connect electrical connector to IAT.
