IMPORTANT: To accurately check fluid level, en-
gine MUST BE run at 1500 RPM for 2 minutes im-
mediately prior to checking level.

Start engine and run at 1500 RPM for 2 minutes
to fill all circuits, lines, and cooler.

Stop engine and quickly check level before fluid
drains back into transmission. Add fluid if neces-
sary.
MODELS WITH THROTTLE BODY FUEL
INJECTION

If fluid level is extremely low, check transmission
case, cooler, and hoses for leaks.
IMPORTANT: Velvet Drive - transmission - use 10
wt. tractor hydraulic fluid meeting the C-3/TO-2
specification (preferably Mobil 423, Chevron, or
Citgo).

Hurth transmission - use Dexron II or Dexron III
automatic transmission fluid (ATF).
