Install input half of housing onto output half. En-
sure locator pins are in place. Install bolts and
lockwashers and torque to 36 lb. ft. (49 N•m).
b. Mount dial indicator on input shaft. Turn input
shaft several times to seat bearing.

Measure bearing clearance as follows:
c. Zero the dial indicator.
a. Install special tool as shown. Tighten hold
down bolts securely.
