Loose or broken drive belt
Engine RPM too low on initial start
Loose or corroded electrical connections
Faulty battery gauge
Rev engine to 1500 RPM
Best way to test is to replace gauge
Low electrolyte or failed battery
Battery will not accept charge
Faulty alternator or regulator
