SERVICE MANUAL NUMBER 24

INSTALLATION

CAUTION

Route hoses exactly as shown below. This will help avoid stress on the hose fittings

and will help avoid kinks in the hoses.

IMPORTANT: Be careful to not cross-thread or overtighten hose fittings.

Position hose properly (as it was prior to removal). Install fitting and torque to 23 lb-ft

(31

Nm). Do not cross-thread or overtighten.

a - Power Steering Hose Fitting

Route hose along valve cover and secure with J-clamp(s) provided.

Be certain a new high pressure hose O-ring is present. Install threaded hose fitting in

back of pump assembly fitting. Tighten hose fitting securely. Do not cross-thread or over-

tighten.

Fill and air bleed system. Refer to SECTION 1B.
