b. Using DVOM, measure voltage at coil positive (+) termi-
nal.

Is Voltage Greater Than 12 Volts?
a. Ignition OFF.
b. Disconnect ECM J1 connector.
c. Check continuity from ECM CKT 121 to negative (–) ter-
minal of coil.
Is Resistance Less Than 1 ohm?
a. Ignition OFF.
b. Disconnect ECM J1 connector.

c. Check resistance from ECM CKT 121 to ground.
Is Resistance Less Than 1 ohm?
a. Ignition OFF.
b. Disconnect ECM J1 connector.
c. Check resistance between positive (+) and negative (–)
terminals of coil.
Is Resistance Less Than 2 ohms?
a. Ignition OFF.
b. Disconnect ECM J1 connector.
c. Remove secondary ignition wire from coil.

negative terminal of coil.
Is Resistance Greater Than 5 Ohms And Less Than

Locate and repair open or short to ground in CKT 902.

Replace ignition coil.
