HURTH TRANSMISSIONS

SERVICE MANUAL NUMBER 24

Filling Transmission

IMPORTANT: Use only fluid recommended in “Fluid Specifications.”

Fill transmission to proper level, through oil filter cavity. Capacities are listed in “Fluid

Specifications.”

Install filter as follows:

a. Coat O-ring on filter cover with transmission fluid.

b - O-Ring

CAUTION

Transmission fluid filter and cover must be properly seated to avoid fluid foaming

and/or loss of fluid, thus resulting in decreased efficiency and/or damage to trans-

mission.

b. Push down until cover is fully seated (top of cover flush with housing), then, Turn

T-handle clockwise until tight.
