FUEL INJECTION DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY

Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure

NOTICE

Refer to “Service Precautions,” in front of this section BEFORE proceeding.

Disconnect electrical connector at fuel pump.

Crank engine for ten seconds (if engine starts allow it run until it stops) to relieve any

fuel pressure in the system.

Black Scorpion Components

Flame Arrestor

NOTICE

Refer to “Service Precautions,” in front of this section BEFORE proceeding.

REMOVAL

Remove flame arrestor and related components in the following order:

EARLIER STYLE - Remove clamp.

LATER STYLE - Remove nut.

Remove crankcase ventilation hose from against flame arrestor and rocker arm cover

fittings.

Remove flame arrestor.
