Does The MIL Flash DTC 12?
a. Ignition OFF, disconnect ECM connectors.
b. Ignition ON, engine OFF, observe the MIL.
Is The MIL ON?
a. Ignition OFF.
b. With ECM connectors disconnected, jump terminals “A”
to “B” at the DLC.

c. Connect test light between CKT 451 and battery posi-
tive (B+).
Does Test Light Illuminate?
Verify correct operation of CodeMate Tester on a known
good system.

Locate and repair short to ground in CKT 419.
Locate and repair open in CKT 450 and/or CKT 451.
Check CKT 451 for short to ground.
