VELVET DRIVE 5000 SERIES TRANMISSION

Pressure Test

Remove transmission temperature switch and install a suitable pressure gauge.

a - Main Line Pressure Tap - Remove Temperature Switch

With boat in water, start engine and run until normal operating temperature is reached.

Refer to “Operating Specifications” for test rpms and respective pressure readings.

Transmission Repair

Mercury Marine does not stock or sell replacement parts for the down angle transmission.

Velvet Drive has a network of distributors throughout the world to service their product.
