SERVICE MANUAL NUMBER 24

FUEL INJECTION DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY

INSTALLATION

Install new lower O-rings on fuel injectors. Lubricate O-rings using a water soap solution.

a - Fuel Injector

b - Upper O-Ring

c - Lower O-Ring

d - Fuel Filter

Install upper O-rings in fuel meter body. Lubricate O-rings with water soap solution.

Install fuel injectors into the fuel meter body. Align the raised lug on the injector base with

the notch in fuel meter cavity.

NOTE: The electrical terminals of the injectors should be parallel with throttle shaft.

Install gasket and fuel meter cover, torque screws to 28 lb-in. (3.0 Nm) and flame

arrestor as outlined in this section.

Connect electrical connections to fuel injectors.

With engine OFF, and ignition ON, check for leaks around gasket and fuel line couplings.
