Filling Transmission
IMPORTANT: Use only Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) as recommended in
“Lubricants/Sealants.”

Fill transmission to proper level, through oil filter cavity. (Refer to “Capacity.”)
Install filter as follows:
a. Coat O-ring on filter cover with transmission fluid.

CAUTION
Transmission fluid filter and cover must be properly seated to avoid fluid foaming
and/or loss of fluid, thus resulting in decreased efficiency and/or damage to trans-
mission.
b. Push down until cover is fully seated (top of cover flush with housing), then, Turn
T-handle clockwise until tight.

Start engine and run for two minutes to fill system with fluid.
