MULTI-PORT FUEL INJECTION DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY
1.
Install knock sensors in engine block. Torque to 12-16 lb-ft (16.3-21.7 Nm).

Connect electrical connector to knock sensors.
Knock Sensor Module
1.
Remove the knock sensor module from the rear starboard side side of engine.

Disconnect electrical connector at Knock Sensor (KS) module.
CLEANING AND INSPECTION

Clean the external surfaces of the KS module with a dry cloth.
Inspect surfaces of KS module for evidence of damage.
IMPORTANT: In the following step, it is very important that the knock sensor be
torqued to the precise specification. Incorrect torquing will result in unsatisfactory
performance. DO NOT use sealer on threads.
INSTALLATION

Mount KS module on electrical bracket.
Connect electrical connector to the KS module.
