Heat sand and observe thermometer.

As temperature rises, switch will close and ohmmeter will indicate continuity. Refer to
chart below for specifications.
Switch Condition
Temperature
Opens
Closes
180-200° F (82-93° C)
220-240° F (104-116° C)

Turn heat source off. Allow sand to cool. Note thermometer reading to ensure switch
opens up at specified temperature.
Replace switch if switch fails to either open or close within the specified temperature.
INSTALLATION
1.
Apply Loctite Pipe Sealant with Teflon to threads of transmission fluid temperature
switch.

Install switch with sealing washer in transmission and tighten securely.
Reconnect harness wires and coat with Liquid Neoprene.
