Remove the motor housing  O-ring.

Continuity Test

Set the ohmmeter on the  Rx1 scale.
Place the alligator clip meter  lead on the armature shaft.
Touch the meter lead probe  to each commutator bar one at a time.

b  - Meter Lead
c  - Meter Lead

Continuity Indicated - Armature grounded  (replace armature).
Continuity Not Indicated - Armature not  grounded.
