FUEL INJECTION DISASSEMBLY AND REASSSEMBLY

SERVICE MANUAL NUMBER 30

Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure

Disconnect electrical connectors at both fuel pumps.

Crank engine for ten seconds (if engine starts allow it operate until it stops) to relieve

any fuel pressure in the system.

Flame Arrestor

Removal

Remove the engine cover.

b - Fasteners

Loosen the clamp and remove the flame arrestor.

Cleaning and Inspection

Clean flame arrestor in solvent.

Wear eye protection. Dry flame arrestor with compressed air.

Installation

Reinstall flame arrestor and fastening hose clamp. Tighten fastener securely.

Install engine cover. Secure with fasteners.
