Inspection

Inspect sealing surfaces for deep nicks and scratches.

Inspect for corrosion around cooling passages.

Inspect for cylinder head gasket leakage or corrosion.

Inspect pistons for carbon buildup.

Installation

CAUTION

DO NOT use sealer on head gaskets. Possible engine failure could result.

Place head gasket in position over dowel pins.
