Spark Plugs

CHECKING

Disconnect spark plug wires (high tension leads) from spark plugs.

Exhaust Manifold Removed For Visual Clarity

a - Spark Plugs

NOTE: Use care when removing spark plug wires from spark plugs. Twist the boot 1/2 turn

before removing. Firmly grasp and pull on the boot to remove the wire from the spark plug..

Remove spark plugs.

Ensure that all spark plugs are from the same manufacturer and have the same spark

plug number.

Inspect each plug individually for badly worn electrodes, glazed, broken or blistered

porcelain and replace where necessary.

NOTE: Cracks often occur at the base of the insulator.
