Bend one of the tabs on the tab washer down onto the flat of the adjusting nut.

NOTE: Some rear mounts have one (1) clamping bolt and nut on each side.
IMPORTANT: All coupler bolts must be SAE Grade 8 (Metric Grade 10.9) or better, with
a shoulder (grip length) sufficient to pass through the mating face plane of the
couplers.

Connect propeller shaft coupler to transmission output flange with bolts, lockwashers
and nuts. Torque to 50 lb-ft (68 Nm).

a. If propeller shaft coupler has set screws, remove set screws and mark dimple loca-
tions using a transfer punch.
b. To drill dimples, remove propeller shaft coupler and drill shallow dimples at locations
marked with punch.
