SERVICE MANUAL NUMBER 30

Check flywheel runout as follows:

a. Attach a dial indicator to engine block.

b. Take readings around outer edge of flywheel. Push in on flywheel to remove crank-

shaft end play.

c. Maximum runout - .008 in. (0.203 mm).

a - Dial Indicator

Install drive coupler or drive plate.

Install flywheel housing and related parts.

Install flywheel housing cover.

Install transmission (MIE only). Torque bolts to 50 lb-ft (68 Nm).

Refer to SECTION 2 - Removal and Installation. Install engine.
