MAINTENANCE
Draining Seawater (Raw-Water) Cooled Models
NOTICE
Refer to “Cold Weather or Extended Storage Precautions” in this section,
BEFORE proceeding.

Engine must be as level as possible to ensure complete draining of cooling system.
Remove drain plugs from cylinder block and manifold.

a - Drain Plug (Port and Starboard)

Repeatedly clean out drain holes using a stiff piece of wire. Do this until entire system
is drained.
NOTE: It may be necessary to lift, bend or lower hoses to allow water to drain completely
when hoses are disconnected.
4.
Remove and lower the hoses to allow them to drain.
