Maintenance
Flame Arrestor with Carburetor Cover
NOTICE
Refer to “Precautions” in this section, BEFORE proceeding.
1.
Remove in the following order:
a. Nut.
b. Sealing washer.
c. Crankcase ventilation hoses from flame arrestor and rocker arm covers.
d. Flame arrestor.

Clean and inspect:
a. Clean flame arrestor in solvent and blow dry with compressed air.
b. Clean crankcase ventilation hoses.
c. Inspect crankcase ventilation hoses for cracks or deterioration, and replace if neces-
sary.
Install in the following order:
a. Flame arrestor.
b. Crankcase ventilation hoses to flame arrestor and rocker arm covers.
c. Sealing washer.
d. Nut (tighten securely).
