Install field frame over armature. Align slot in field frame with rubber grommet.

Install field frame and end frame in drive housing.
Install long screws and brush lead. Tighten fasteners securely.

Starter Solenoid
TESTING / REPLACEMENT
Pinion clearance must be checked after reassembly of starter motor.

Disconnect brush lead from solenoid motor and insulate it carefully.

Connect 12 volt battery positive (+) lead to battery terminal and negative (–) lead to
frame.
