2011 Four Winns F-Series Boat Owners Manual

NOTICE
The motorhood can not be manually closed
if the electric motorhood lift was used to raise
the motorhood. You must also use the electric
motorhood lift to lower the motorhood.
After rotating, ensure seat is securely locked
into position. Sudden acceleration with seat
unlocked could cause loss of balance and
possible injury.
The engine hatch can be lifted and lowered
without the screw jack. Use care and proper
lifting techniques to prevent possible back injury.
DO NOT sit on the backrest portion of any
cockpit seat.  The operator could lose control of
boat or passengers could be thrown from boat.
Also, the seat may be damaged from improper
use.
2.
Place the prop rod into the u-shape holder in the
hatch and lower the hatch so the prop rod sup-
ports the hatch. Note: Ensure you lower the screw
jack enough to allow the engine hatch to rest on
the rod.
E.   U - Shaped Lounge Seating
U-shaped seating is found in the F series models.
Large amounts of storage space are located under
either the removeable seat cushions or the hinged
seat cushions.
Always use the engine hatch’s prop rod when
working on the engine. This provides added
safety while helping to prolong the life of the
screw jack and engine hatch.
F.   Engine Hatch with Electric Lift Option
NOTICE
Gas-assist lifts are used to aid in raising the motor-
hood for the F series models. An optional engine
hatch with electric screw jack(s) may be substituted
for the gas-assist lifts. The screw jack(s) lifts and low-
ers the engine hatch by pressing the switch located on
the dash. The screw jack(s) runs off the boat’s battery.
The prop rod should always be utilized to help support
the weight to the engine hatch and to provide added
safety while working on the engine. See Figure N-8.
Never operate or trailer your boat with the
engine hatch in its open position. Doing so
could result in damage to the engine hatch,
hardware, and/or loss of cushions.
NOTICE
If manually lowering the motorhood, do not
allow the motorhood to “slam” shut. Gently
guide the motorbox into the “closed” position.
Allowing the motorbox to “slam” shut can
damage the fiberglass motorbox.
NOTICE
Cushions, if not properly stored and secured,
can blow out of the boat when either operating
or trailering.
G.   Swim Platform Lounge Seating
Either dual or a single swim platform lounge seating is
standard equipment depending on the model. When
utilizing the swim paltform this seating provides added
enjoyment and comfort. See Figure N-9.
