Hexagon, 30 mm.

Remove the locating screw for the crankshaft

centre bearing (two in the case of MD17). Pull

the crankshaft out.

CAMSHAFT

Remove the thrust washer and lift the camshaft

out. MD17: Check that the oil hole is correctly

located when re-assembling.

Loosen the lock screw and remove the centrifu-

gal governor.

Remove the oil filter, the oil pressure switch and

the oil pipes for the rocker arm mechanism.

MD11: Remove the oil strainer. MD11C: Use tool

Unscrew the centre bearing (MD17, two bear-

ings). NOTE! Mark them so that they can be

re-fitted in the same positions.
