Tilt support bracket will automatically engage.
Tilt UP
Move tilt/run lever to TILT position.

TILT position
Leave tilt/run lever in the TILT posi-
tion while outboard is tilted. If the
tilt/run lever is moved to the RUN
position, the tilt support bracket can
release and the outboard could drop
down unexpectedly.
Grasp tilt grip on engine cover and tilt out-
board to the full tilt position.

Tilt DOWN
Move tilt/run lever to RUN position.

RUN position
Grasp tilt grip on engine cover and raise out-
board slightly. The tilt support will automati-
cally disengage. Slowly lower outboard to its
normal operating (RUN) position.
NOTICE
