   Using Your Evinrude E-TEC
Move the  shift  lever to  NEUTRAL. Refer  to   Starting – Tiller Rope Models
Shifting and Speed Control - Tiller Models
on page 26.
While  seated, grasp  the  starter handle  and
pull slowly until the starter engages, then pull
hard. Repeat, if needed, until outboard starts.

NOTICE
To prevent  damage  to starter
assembly,  allow   starter  cord  to   rewind
before releasing starter handle.
