Seat Mount
To close the lid, carefully pull down on the engine
lid. Grasp, the handle portion of the latches and
gently lower the engine into its closed position.
Rotate latches to the locking positions and lower
the handles into their flush, recessed positions. Close
the cooler/livewell lid or install the carpeted support
board depending on the model.

G. Top Storage
The top storage compartment at the stern of the boat
has storage compartments located underneath but
does not allow for storage of the convertible canvas
top assembly as the name might indicate. The top
storage is secured by a latch mechanism. A spring
stay keeps the top storage in the raised position while
storing gear or for maintaining the engine. See Figure
N-12.

To raise the engine hatch, locate the latches of the
engine hatch. Lift up on the handle portion of the
latches and rotate approximately 90 degrees. Rotation
of latches will typically be in same direction. After
rotating latches to the open position, unlatch the
cooler/livewell lid or remove carpeted support board
and lift engine hatch. On certain Fish & Ski models,
a gas shock is installed to assist with the lifting and
holding the engine lid open while inspection or routine
maintenance is being conducted. See Figure N-11.

To open the top storage compartment :
Locate the latch and lift upward to release.
Lift the top storage upward until fully opened. Once
the top storage is fully opened, the spring stay will
extend and keep the top storage in the raised position.
Engine Hatch Latches
To close the top storage compartment:
With one hand supporting the top storage cushion,
use the other hand to gently bend/push the middle of
the spring sty away from you so it is no longer in the
locked-out position. Lower the top storage gently into
the closed position. Place both hands on top of the
cushion directly over the latch mechanism and gently
push down to ensure the latch locks the top storage in
the closed position.
