PRODUCT WARRANTY INFORMATION
BRP LIMITED WARRANTY FOR 2010 EVINRUDE OUTBOARD ENGINES USED IN
AFRICA, MIDDLE EAST, LATIN AMERICA, PACIFIC ISLANDS, ASIA, ALBANIA,
FORMER YUGOSLAVIAN REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA, SERBIA AND
MONTENEGRO, BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA AND THE COMMONWEALTH OF
INDEPENDENT STATES
1. SCOPE OF THE LIMITED WARRANTY
Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. ("BRP") warrants its Evinrude® outboard engines ("Product") from defects in ma-
terial or workmanship for the period and under the conditions described below, when they are sold by authorized Evinrude
distributors / dealers and used, at any point during the warranty period, in the following territories:

Middle East (excluding Turkey),
Latin America (including but not limited to the Caribbean Islands, Bahamas and Bermuda),
Pacific Islands (excluding Hawaii),
Asia (excluding Japan),
Albania, Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro,
Bosnia and Herzegovina, or
Commonwealth of Independent States (former Soviet Union) (excluding Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia)
All Evinrude/Johnson® Genuine Parts and accessories, including but not limited to propellers, gauges, oil tanks, remote
controls, wiring and key switches that are installed by an authorized distributor / dealer at the time of sale, whether or not
shipped with Product, bear the standard BRP limited warranty for Evinrude/Johnson Genuine Parts and accessories. See
your authorized distributor / dealer for a full copy of such limited warranty.
2. EXCLUSIONS - ARE NOT WARRANTED:
The following are not warranted under any circumstances:

Replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear;
Routine maintenance parts and services including but not limited to: maintenance requirements, lower unit oil change,
lubrication, linkage adjustments and replacement of fuses, zinc anodes, thermostats, starter motor bushings, trim mo-
tor brushes, filters and spark plugs;

Damage caused by improper installation or lack of maintenance, winterization and/or storage, failure to follow the pro-
cedures and recommendations in the Operator's Guide;
Damage resulting from removal of parts, improper repairs, service, maintenance, or modification, or use of parts or
accessories not manufactured or approved by BRP, which in its reasonable judgment, are either incompatible with
Product or adversely affect its operation, performance, or durability, or resulting from repairs done by a person that is
not an authorized Distributor / Dealer;

Damage caused by abuse, misuse, abnormal use, neglect, racing, improper operation or operation of the Product in a
manner inconsistent with the recommended operation described in the Operator's Guide;
•

Damage resulting from accident, submersion, water ingestion, fire, theft, vandalism or any act of God;
Operation with fuels, oils or lubricants which are not suitable for use with the Product (see the Operator's Guide);
Damage resulting from rust or corrosion;
Damage caused from cooling system blockage by foreign material;
Damage resulting from sand or debris in the water pump; or
Cosmetic or paint changes due to exposure to the elements.
This warranty will be voided in its entirety and rendered null and void where:
•
Product has been altered or modified in such a way so as to adversely affect its operation, performance or durability,
or has been altered or modified to change its intended use; or
•
Product is or has been used for racing or any other competitive activity, at any point, even by a prior owner.
3. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY GIVEN AND ACCEPTED IN LIEU OF ANY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EX-
PRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FIT-
NESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. TO THE EXTENT THAT THEY CANNOT BE DISCLAIMED, THE IMPLIED
WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE LIFE OF THE EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY.
