Adjustment of friction brake
The friction brake only affects engine speed adjust-
ment. Adjust with the lever in the throttle half open
position (forward/reverse).
l Remove the cover over the control. For side-
mounted controls the lever must first be
removed.
l Adjust the friction brake by turning the screw at the
arrow (see figure).
l Turn clockwise (+) for more friction and
counterclockwise (-) for less friction.
l Reinstall the cover and lever.
