Move the remote control lever to the neu-
tral position.
TIP:
The start-in-gear protection device prevents
the engine from starting except when in neu-
tral.

Attach the engine shut-off cord to a se-
cure place on your clothing, or your arm
or leg. Then, attach the clip on the other
end of the engine shut-off cord to the en-
gine shut-off switch.

Turn the main switch to the“
” (start)
position, and hold it for a maximum of 5
seconds.
