The stern bracket has two holes on each side of the
Bolt your engine to the boat’s transom using the engine. Drill only one hole on each side. Use the

transom.
Apply polysulfide sealant generously behind the
heads and to the shanks of the mounting bolts be-
fore inserting them and to the surfaces of washers
that contact the transom. Avoid RTV silicone and
polyurethane sealants as they can be dissolved by
gasoline.

Secure the engine with the mounting hardware.
After 30 minutes of operation, retighten clamp
screws by hand. DO NOT use tools to tighten clamp
screws. Check clamp screws regularly.

teners, use Evinrude/Johnson parts or parts
of equivalent strength and material.

as a template for location and size of holes to drill in
the transom.
