Should blower noise and vibration be excessive, loosen-
ing the bilge blower mounting screws and then tightening

B. Forced Air Ventilation

tilation. The cabin side windows are fixed on the Vista
and do not open.
Before starting the engine(s) or generator, oper-

ment for gasoline vapors. ALWAYS operate the
bilge blower while the engines are at idle or the
generator is in use. Failure to comply could
cause explosion and thereby inflict serious in-
jury.

Failure to properly ventilate the boat while the
engines or generator are operating may permit
carbon monoxide to accumulate inside of the
cabin. RefertoSection B-2EngineExhaustand
Section H-4 Carbon Monoxide for additional
information.
Screens for the forward deck hatches are available for all
Four Winnsboats. Thescreensareremovableandstored
properly when not in use.
Fumes can come from batteries while charging.
Aconcentrationofhydrogenfumescanbeexplo-
sive under the right conditions.
NOTICE
Be sure deck hatches are secured while under-
way. Damage to the hatch may result. Store
screens in a safe place to prevent damage.
NOTICE
The Gas Vapor Detector is a monitor to alert the
operatorofanaccumulationofgasolinefumesin
the engine compartment. For more information,
see Section F-1i on the Gas Vapor Detector in
this manual.
In time, the color on certain plastic deck hatch or side
windowassembliesmayfadeorbecomeweathered. The
surface oils in the plastic are removed due to exposure.
This is normal. The deep, rich color can easily be re-
stored by periodic applications of mineral oil or silicone
lubricant.
