Pull the  starter  handle slowly  until you
feel resistance. Then, give a  strong pull
straight   out   to  crank   and   start   the
engine. Repeat it, if necessary.

After
the   engine   starts,   return    the
starter   handle  slowly   to  the   original
position before releasing it.

Push  the   starter  button   to  start   the
starting motor.

Immediately   after   the  engine   starts,
release the  starter-switch to return  it to
its home position.

Do  not  push  the  starter-switch  when
the engine is running.

Do not  keep  the starter-motor  turning
for more than 5  seconds. If the starter-
motor  is   run  continuously  for   more
than 5 seconds, the battery will  rapidly
become
exhausted   and    it   will   be
impossible for  it to start  the engine.  If
the engine does  not start within 5 sec-
onds,  release your  hand from  starter-
switch,   wait   10  seconds,   and   then
crank the engine again.
