SHALLOW-WATER DRIVE
Grasp tilt grip on engine cover and tilt motor half-
way.
WARNING
1
When in shallow-water drive, your motor
has no protection from the effects of under-
water impact.
Operate your motor in FORWARD and ONLY
at slow speed. The motor can tilt up forcibly
and drop suddenly if it hits an underwater
object or if you shift to REVERSE and apply
throttle. You could lose control.
The motor’s depth in shallow-water drive is con-
trolled by the position of the motor angle adjusting
rod. Relocate the motor angle adjusting rod if nec-
essary. Refer to Motor Angle Adjustment.
