WINDSHIELDS
Four Winns recommends an eight (8) pound, “Danforth-
type” anchor, with a 3/8” line be used on all models with
the exception of the 245 Sundowner. The recom-
mended anchor for this model is a thirteen (13) pound
“Danforth-type” anchor, with a 1/2” line. Because of
differences in style, a larger anchor may be needed for
different bottom or boating conditions.
The windshield on all models is standard equipment.
Windshields consist of tempered safety glass and the
windshield frame is aluminum.
Windshields of tempered glass can be cleaned with au-
tomotive glass cleaners or dishwashing soap and water.
NOTICE
Aluminum can be cleaned with similar products or with
nonabrasive cleaners such as Fantastik.
A “system matched*” fluke style anchor fits in
all applications. *”System matched” means that
the designated OEM part, anchors in this in-
stance, found in an OEM parts catalog would
work in this application.
NOTICE
Read the label before using any product. DO
NOT use abrasive cleaners.
Anchors are usually a dealer installed option. Please
check with your Four Winns dealer for his recommen-
dations.

SWIM PLATFORM
Four Winns provides an integrated fiberglass swim plat-
form on all models. For better footing, a nonskid sur-
face is provided. The ladder is “deep” and “angled”
mounted which makes it easier to climb. Its starboard
location means you’re not approaching a down skier
on your “blind side”.

DEPTH SOUNDER
The depth sounder is standard equipment on the Hori-
zon and Sundowner models. The depth sounder has
both audible and visual alarm. See Section B-7h of
this manual for additional information.
Keephandsandfingersawayfromladderhinges
to prevent injury.
Do not rely on depth sounder to avoid sub-
merged objects. Depthsoundersprovidearela-
tive indication of water depth only.
NEVER APPROACH OR USE LADDER
WHEN THE MOTOR IS RUNNING. SEVERE
INJURY OR DEATH WILL RESULT FROM
CONTACT WITH ROTATING PROPELLER.
NOTICE
DO NOT depend solely upon the depth sounder
for water depth. It is important to have
navigational charts of the waters in which you
are operating.
Shut off motor when near swimmers. Severe
injury or death will result from contact with ro-
tating propeller.
