START-IN-GEAR PROTECTION
Yamaha  outboard   motors   or  Yamaha
approved    remote    control    units   are
equipped  with  start-in-gear   protection
device(s). This feature  permits the engine
to  be  started  only  when   it is  Neutral.
Always select  Neutral before  starting the
engine.
