INSPECTING AND REPLACING FUEL

its vapors are flammable and explosive.

If you have any question about properly
doing
the   procedure,    consult   your
Yamaha dealer.
Do not perform the  procedure on a hot
or running engine.  Allow the engine to
cool.
There will be fuel in the fuel filter.
Keep   away   from   sparks,   cigarettes,
flames or other sources of ignition.
The procedure  will allow  some fuel  to
spill.
Catch fuel in a  rag. Wipe up any spilled
fuel immediately.

Improper  replacement  can  result  in  a
fuel leak, which could  result in a fire or
explosion hazard.
Check the fuel filter periodically.
The  fuel filter  is  a one-piece,  disposable
type. If  foreign matter  is found  in the fil-
ter, replace it. For  replacement of the fuel
filter, consult a Yamaha dealer.
