Install the fuel  tank bracket by  installing
the bolts2.

Install 2 bolts1   into the rear section  of
the fuel tank.
10)
Prepare  the   engine  for  starting.   See
STARTING  ENGINE”   for  procedures.
Be sure the engine is in Neutral and that
the lanyard lock  plate is attached to  the
engine stop lanyard switch.
11)
Turn  the lever 5  on  the carburetor  to
operate  the   choke  system   when  the
engine  is cold.  After the  engine  starts,
return the lever to the original position.
12)
While  lifting   the  fuel  tank,   insert  the
knotted  end  of  the  emergency  starter
rope into the  notch in the  flywheel rotor
and  wind the  rope  1  to 2  turns  clock-
wise.
NOTE:

If the rope is too long after winding it around
the flywheel,  shorten  its length  at the  han-
dle.

Pull  the rope  slowly  until  resistance is
felt.
Give a  strong pull  straight out  to crank
and  start the  engine.  Repeat if  neces-
sary.
15)
Install the top cowling.
