   Using The Evinrude MFE Outboard
OPERATION
SAFETY INFORMATION
WARNING
ENGINE STARTING
Before starting the outboard:
Check fuel and oil levels
Make sure fuel selector switch is in the cor-
rect position for the fuel being used.
Move the tilt/run lever to the RUN position
DO  NOT  run  the engine  indoors  or
without adequate ventilation or per-
mit exhaust fumes to accumulate in
confined    areas.   Engine    exhaust
contains carbon monoxide which, if
inhaled,   can  cause   serious  brain
damage or death.
NOTICE

age can occur in just a few seconds.

WARNING
Do not allow anyone near a propel-
ler,  even   when  the  engine   is  off.
Blades can be sharp and the propel-
ler  can  continue  to  turn  even  after
the engine is off. Always shut off the
engine   when  near   people   in  the
water.

If equipped, open vent screw on fuel tank cap.
Squeeze fuel primer bulb, outlet end up, until
firm.

Emergency Stop Switch
The  engine   cover  is  a  machinery
